The Seagulls have reportedly discussed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘internally’ as a successor for Graham Potter, which might signal a surprising return to management for the Norwegian.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been “discussed internally” by Brighton & Hove Albion, so he may be making a surprise comeback to management.
After Chelsea fired Thomas Tuchel earlier this month, Brighton had to watch as Graham Potter joined Chelsea. And because he hasn’t had a job since being fired from Manchester United over a year ago, the Seagulls might turn to the former manager.
If the South Coast club offers the Norwegian the job, it would be his third Premier League club to lead.
Solskjaer’s coached his first game as a manager since he was fired from United in November.
It has been reported by the Norwegian news outlet VG that Solskjaer coached his son Elijah’s U14s squad for the club Kristiansund, whose senior side competes in Norway’s top tier. Together with manager Per Magne Hals, he successfully guided the club to a win.
After being dismissed by the Red Devils, Solskjaer said he wanted to spend more time with his family.
