Wales is concerned about Allen’s injury prior to the World Cup.

Joe Allen is likely going to be sidelined for Wales’ next two matches before to the World Cup in Qatar after aggravating an existing hamstring injury during Swansea’s 3-0 victory against Hull at home on Saturday.

The Welsh national team midfielder, who is 32 years old and plays in the English second division, departed the field at the half-hour mark of this encounter and may not be available for Wales’ next matches against Belgium and Poland in the Nations League.

“It’s his hamstring, but it’s not the one he has done before. That’s why there’s not a huge amount of concern at the minute,” said Swansea coach Russell Martin.

After making a preseason transfer from Stoke to the Swans, Allen’s beginning of the current season was affected by an injury to the hamstring in the opposite leg. This ailment occurred shortly after Allen made the move.

After a gap of 58 years, Wales has finally earned a spot in the World Cup. On November 21, they will begin their competition in Qatar with a match against the United States, which will be followed by games against Iran and England.
