Even though he just played 45 minutes of Argentina’s 3-0 triumph against Jamaica on Tuesday night in New Jersey, Lionel Messi was the main attraction.
It was Lionel Messi’s second consecutive game with a brace, and this time, he did it while making his way off the bench.
After 12 minutes, Manchester City forward Julián Alvarez put the Albiceleste on the board after being set up by Lautaro Martinez. At halftime, Argentina led Jamaica by a single goal.
The 10 entered the game just before the hour mark and slowly proceeded to put on a show for the spectators, scoring a brace from outside the box (the second a free kick) in the 86th and 89th minutes.
An easy win for Argentina, extending their undefeated streak to 35 games. Meanwhile, Messi has recorded 100 victories for the national team.
