Boca won the women’s championship in front of 18,000 supporters at Bombonera.

Boca confirmed its great moment by winning the women’s first division tournament. Last time out, Jorge Martnez’s team edged off the unbeaten UAI Urquiza by a score of 2-1. In front of the Bombonera’s roaring crowd of 18,000, they successfully defended their championship.

It was a thrilling game that ended with Las Gladiadoras being crowned champions courtesy to goals from Yamila Rodrguez and Andrea Ojeda. For Villa Lynch, Daiana Falfán scored the equaliser.

Boca will be able to participate in the 2023 Copa Libertadores thanks to their victory. They also secured a spot in the 2022 Women’s Super Cup, where they will face off against the Federal Cup champions.

The Xeneize Football Council, led by vice president Juan Román Riquelme, was present at the stadium.
